Cognition & Data Visualization Lab

What we do

In my Cognition and Data Visualization lab, out research focuses on understanding how people perceive, attend to, interpret, remember, and make decisions from data visualizations. In particular, we are interested in understanding the cognitive constraints, limitations, and biases associated with the daily task of understanding data through visualizations. other work

As an individual living with vision difficulties associated with pathological myopia, I am also interested in understanding how the rich visual information communicated through data visualizations can be made accessible to individuals with vision difficulties (e.g., blindness, low-vision, etc.).

Students interested in studying data visualization should contact me here or visit me on campus.
